How I Went From Never Shooting Past 300 Yards... To Consistently Ringing Steel at 1000+ Yards
And Now You Can Copy My Simple System to Make Long Range Shooting EASY – Even If You've Been Struggling for Years
In This Course, You'll Discover:
- The #1 mistake shooters make that causes misses beyond 500 yards (hint: it's not your scope or ammo)
- The prone position "tweak" that instantly tightens groups
- How to build reliable DOPE out to 1000+ yards without complicated math
I didn't know what I was doing.
I grew up hunting on the plains of Colorado. My grandfather helped me to be a better shooter. I remember riding around in his single cab F-150 to find prairie dogs to shoot at. It’s a memory I cherish to this day that instilled a love for shooting sports in me.
As that love for shooting grew, I took up reloading and learned quickly that I didn’t know what I was doing. Luckily, there was an old guy in town that took me under his wing. I learned a lot more about reloading from him, and as I grew as prairie dog shooter, I thought I was getting pretty good. I decided it was time to buy a bigger rifle so that I could get into the 1000 yard club.
I bought that rifle, but it sat in the safe for many years while I went to college and moved to Ohio. Living in Ohio was different though; I couldn’t find anywhere that would let me try that 1000 yard shot I wanted to do for so long! Eventually I was introduced to a place that was hosting a “PRS Match”. I thought my rifle was pretty cool, and I definitely knew how to shoot which meant that should be no problem, right?
Despite never having dialed “DOPE” before, I went. I spent a lot of time preparing and even taped a dope card to my butt stock so that I could dial different yardages; I really didn’t know what to expect. My very first stage had a 300 yard target. I dialed my scope for that distance, pulled the trigger, and “IMPACT!” “Wow!” I thought, and I was hooked.
Except the rest of the match didn’t go that well. Actually not even the rest of that stage. I was top loading rounds into a match designed for using magazines. My scope was a second focal plane in MOA with a mil-dot reticle. I didn’t know how fast my bullets were going. In fact, a guy (that has since become a good friend) felt so bad for how I was doing that he lent me his rifle. These were just a few of the things I didn’t know that I didn’t even know about what it really takes to shoot long range.
The Breakthrough...
I kept going. I learned it was possible to adapt my rifle to accept magazines (along with other easier methods), and I figured out how to measure the velocity of my bullets. My new friends helped me get away from using a dope card ever again. And I became obsessive.
My obsession with figuring this out was a lot of work. I read and listened to anything I could get my hands on about long range shooting. But my biggest breakthrough was learning that there were people who taught long range shooting. I started learning from them. I took their classes, and I teamed up with amazing mentors.
As I learned more about long range shooting, I started making big strides in how much better I was getting. I challenged myself to earn progressively more difficult trophies and prizes. Actually, I still do that to this day. My trophy collection has started to grow, and my skillset as a shooter gets better month after month. This progression as a shooter has helped me develop some of the best friendships I could ever ask for and given me a lot more meaning to look forward to in life besides just punching a time clock.
Although what I learned took a lot of piecing together information from different sources, spending thousands of dollars over several years, and having a variety of mentors to help me along the way, that doesn’t mean you have to do it that way. In fact, I think there’s a better way, and I can help you learn the secrets.
Secret #1
Your windage misses are likely not from a bad rifle, bad ammo, or your inability to read wind.
Secret #2
Struggling to get good groups from prone or a bench may have more to do with your rifle set up than your ammo.
Secret #3
Technology is literally at your fingertips, and it's FREE!

We do ask that you try working with us to help you succeed, and we’re even willing to work 1-on-1 with you to help problem solve any issues you may be having.
What caliber/rifle do you recommend starting with?
Most people start with a common, popular cartridge such as 223 Remington, 308 Winchester, or 6.5 Creedmoor. However, if you are able to pick one, I’d choose the 6mm BR Norma. It is a very forgiving cartridge to help remove extraneous issues for new long range shooters; low recoiling, very accurate, and easy to reload.
Will this work for hunting or competition?
The fundamentals learned here carry directly over into hunting or competition. You will be greatly helped in those efforts from the information in this course. Please note however, there are many nuances to each hunting and competition that make those situations deserve their own full course and are therefore not covered here (i.e. positional shooting).
