Tired of fighting the springs on your bolts?  Struggling to hold the bolt while you remove the pins?  This Bolt Tool is just what you need!

Designed to hold in ejectors to alleviate the spring pressure while you remove the ejector pin.  When hit with a punch the ejector pin will fall into the cup underneath instead of rolling around on the floor.  For reassembly, the screw holds the pin and spring back far enough for you to get the pin in without needing a 3rd hand.

If you need to work on extractors, you can do that, too.  The AR base has its own slot for the extractor pin.  On bolt action bases, (and depending on the design of your bolt), you can move the bolt forward and pivot it so that the extractor pin is vertical.  Then tighten the screw to hold the bolt while you work!

Four screw sizes are available to accommodate different sizes of bolt faces.  They are 223, Grendel, 308, and Magnum.  All screws are interchangeable across all bases.

NEW:  Remington 700 Firing Pin Tool Insert!  This insert fits the Remington 700 (0.700″) base and will compress the spring so that you can remove the pin to completely remove the firing pin.  Add this on to your order!

The Tikka T3x bolt was tested to fit a Remington 700 (0.700″) base.  The lug height is a little smaller so it rotates until the lug contacts; this should be fine, but just remember to remove your firing pin before removing the roll pin!

Please note:  the 3-Lug base is designed around the Curtis Valor bolt which has a 0.750″ bolt body diameter.  The Howa was designed off of a smaller-body Howa bolt; other Howas with a larger bolt do not fit this and may instead fit the Remington 700 (0.700″) base.  If you aren’t sure whether your action will work, please contact reese@thebulletpros.com.

If there is a design you wish to have that you do not see, please contact reese@thebulletpros.com to inquire about having it made.

Coming soon:  Winchester Model 70

If you forget the color code of the screws, you can reference it here:

  • Blue – 223
  • Black – Grendel
  • Red – 308
  • White – Magnum
